winds, stars, and resilience: a mountain adventure to remember

it was a warm autumn day, perfect for a new adventure with the community. this time, our journey led us up to the madlochspitze with plans to camp overnight. we started by taking the seekopf lift up to zürser see and then hiked to the madlochspitze in about two hours. at the top, we were rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views.
as the sun began to set, we set up our tents, enjoyed a hearty meal, and watched the beautiful colors fade over the mountains.
the forecast promised clear skies, but strong winds up to 80 km/h surprised us during the night. despite the wind, we all made it through – even those experiencing their first night on the mountain. everyone stayed strong, anchoring their tents extra securely.
i attempted to give a night photography tutorial, but the high winds made it quite the challenge! yana, one of the participants, could take here first milky way photo as you can above.
for fun, we also tried some light painting, to remind ourselves to say yes more often to things that push us out of our comfort zones.

morning greeted us with a spectacular sunrise, the perfect backdrop for our first meal of the day. after breakfast, we packed up, hiked back down to zürser see, and stopped for a meal at the seekopf restaurant before heading down on the lift.
together, we faced the winds and the heights – and left with stories we’ll carry forever. until the next adventure!
